7 Months

Adele will be turning 7 months old this week. My baby is growing up fast, like they all do. She sits up really well and is starting to like to stand and hold onto things. With mom and dad's help, she walks all around the house. Still hates to be on her stomach and has yet to master rolling back over to her back from her stomach. But is starting to prop up on arms and scoot the butt up, so crawling may happen soon. She is eating all sorts of new foods, and is not nearly as messy as she used to be, except when she tries to "help" feed herself. Only food she hasn't liked is avocados. Still no teeth yet, but she likes to chew on everything in site. Sleep is still hit or miss. Is no longer eating during the night. Some nights she'll sleep till 5-6 am, other nights she's up multiple times at night. Hopefully by 8 months some of that will change.... Getting ready for Christmas. Likes looking at the Christmas lights and watching our Rudolph sing and dance (again, until she tries to eat him). Here's a few photo's from our home Christmas photo shoot.

Thanksgiving

Adele made her second plane trip of her short life and flew to Boston for Thanksgiving with the Wilson's and the Tomaino's. Did okay on the plane, but didn't sleep as well as did when she was 6 wks old. We had a great time visiting all the friends and family, and of course, eating all of Terri's amazing cooking. As usual, we left with a souvenir (the Franklin 5, lbs that is). Adele decided she didn't like sleeping in a different bed, so the night before Thanksgiving decided to wake up every 1/2 hr or so, making for some tired parents the next day. Didn't bother her much though, and played with LOTs of cousins the next day. Cousin Izzy gave me all sorts of bracelets and necklaces to wear which I think will continue happening for years to come! Pictures to come when I get them from Grandma!

St. Louis Weekend

This past weekend we went to St. Louis to visit friends. Dad got to hang out with Tom E Friday night while Mom and I hung out with Leah and the Hollidays. The next morning we got to take a backstage tour of Busch Stadium courtesy of one of Adam's coworker's whose husband is their head athletic trainer. Saturday night we had dinner with the Holliday's and then the boys watched the kiddos while the girls headed to the wine bar! I had a good time playing with the boys but they are a lot bigger than me! Thomas especially likes me and follows his "dell" around and even helped put me to sleep. -adele

Fall Fun

Here are some cute pics from playing out in the leaves in the backyard. She liked playing with them, but of course, immediately tried putting them in her mouth. She had a great time on her first Halloween as well, as was an adorable penguin, with a hat made by her grandma Terri.

Rolls and Rolls

I know 10 years from now she will hate me for this, but check out these beautiful rolls!

5 Months

I'm 5 months old now and doing new things everyday. Last week I found my feet and I learned to roll to my tummy all in one day. I'm also laughing and talking more. I try to feed myself sometimes with my bottle, and I'm doing better eating my rice cereal. I had a great time 2 weeks ago when my grandparents came in from Boston and we were so busy going to St. James Art Fair, Hubers, etc. This weekend I was busy playing with cousins and seeing their horses, rabbits, etc., and today I went hiking at Bernheim forest.

First Camping Trip

This weekend Adele went on her first camping trip. We headed an hour away to General Butler State Park and met Jon, Jamie, the dogs, and "Rusty", their new 1979 RV with orange shag carpet. She enjoyed hiking and looking up at all the trees and that night was completely mesmerized by the campfire. The weather was absolutely perfect, not too hot, not too cold :)
