We went down last weekend to Sarasota Florida for my cousin Mary's wedding. Accompanying us were 16 other Schaefer's on the plane. Adele had fun playing peek a boo with everyone over the seats. After a yummy brunch at Aunt Boo's we headed out to her first Red Sox (spring training) game. She wasn't a fan of the hot sun, but we were able to sit right up front in the shade for a couple of innings thanks to the nice ushers. She also got three autographs on her jersey, not bad for a first timer. Then that afternoon she had a blast playing in the pool with everyone. Much bigger than a bathtub! Hit the party scene that night for Tapas and Sangria and everyone loved the baby sitting at the bar. The next morning we went to the beach! She didn't mind walking on the sand, but it was a constant battle to keep her from pouring it in her mouth. Had fun playing in the water with Dave, but again, didn't like the heat, so didn't spend a whole lot of time there, which was good, since I had already turned into a lobster. Rested up that afternoon and then headed to the wedding. It was beautiful and Adele loved walking and crawling over the big lawn and trying to pick all the grass and eat it. Monday we visited the Ringling Brother Museum and enjoyed walking around the gorgeous grounds there. Tuesday we came back. So busy 4 days, but a great time!
Dave and I met in the spring of 2006 and have been together ever since. We got married in 2008 and welcomed our first child, Adele Leigh on May 9th! We hope this blog will allow all our friends and family near and far to keep up with the exploits of our little one!
