It's amazing how much can happen in 2 months of life. At the last post she was just about ready to crawl, and now she can crawl all over the house. Adele took her first crawling steps with Dad, Grandma, and Grandpa and didn't do to much for a week or so, and then took off and hasn't stopped since then. Around the same time, she started pulling up on things more and more. Then, at 10 1/2 months, while we were down in Florida, getting ready to check out, she decided to take 2 steps without help, in front of lots of family. Now she is cruising around every piece of furniture or object she can find. She has a lot of fun pushing her walking toy around, she just hasn't figured out how to change directions and gets frustrated when she hits walls. Is becoming more brave everyday, and it is a matter of time before she's walking everywhere. Other new fun skills this month include learning to wave, which is hysterical to watch, esp. when she only waves with her fingers. Vocabulary continues to expand, and she is finally saying ma ma, so I don't feel left out. Still just have our 2 bottom teeth, Bernard and Bernice, but they do the job. Continues to have a good appetite, and really enjoys feeding herself. Picked up using a cup really fast and loves her water/apple juice combos. Blueberries are her absolute favorite food, followed by yogurt. Sleeping is still hit or miss. Since moving to the bigger kid room at daycare, there is too much going on, and she's only sleeping 1x during the day which makes for some fun nights when she's completely exhausted. On my days off, she was sleeping 2x for 2 hrs each, but she's cut that back this week too. Last week she was finally sleeping all the way through till 6 ish which was awesome, but this week she's been waking up around 2 am and have to be rocked back to sleep. Maybe a new tooth, maybe a cold, who knows. Here are some pics of this cuteness!
Dave and I met in the spring of 2006 and have been together ever since. We got married in 2008 and welcomed our first child, Adele Leigh on May 9th! We hope this blog will allow all our friends and family near and far to keep up with the exploits of our little one!
